Nice place with free wifi in rooms, 24-hour reception, and air conditioning. The staff even helped me with a late departure on my first stay, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend!

The Downtown Berkeley Inn has a prime spot for grub. just a hop away from La Note for those to-die-for homemade rolls! Plus, it’s a clean, comfy room with super friendly staff. Can't beat that!

Good Spot for Attending Events

The staff were incredibly helpful, I mean, when we arrived, they practically rolled out the red carpet. Our room was clean and comfy, really made for a pleasant stay just around the corner from the theater we went to.

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but it was tolerable for what we got.

Front desk staff were kind and helpful throughout my stay. I stayed in room 309 and it was quiet and clean—no safety concerns outside, no weird smells, and no bugs at all. I appreciated the new, super comfortable mattresses and the shower had great water pressure. The use of a U-shaped shower curtain bar added extra room, which I liked. The Wi-Fi worked well, too. The location is super convenient. I could easily walk to Cal and other attractions. It’s relatively inexpensive, which is a plus. On the downside, it’s an older motel so I noticed some stains on the carpets and bathroom fixtures. The breakfast options were minimal, which could be improved. The only real issue was the Wi-Fi being a bit slow at times, which I'd want improved for future guests. Still, that didn't overshadow my overall good experience here. I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a safe, clean, and quiet place at a reasonable price.
